Cat lovers rejoice: International Cat Day is coming up on August 8th. Of course, if it was up to Fluffy, every day would be Cat Day. Kitties are very good at getting us to pamper them. Read on as a local Burlington, ON vet lists a few things you can do to get Fluffy’s little motor going on that special day.
Toys
Playing isn’t just fun for Fluffy: it’s also great for her, both mentally and physically. Pick up a fun new plaything for your furball!
Treats
Kitties can be finicky with treats, but most of them do have a few favorites. Canned tuna in water is fine. You can also give your furball plain, cooked chicken or turkey, without the skin, bones, or fat; deli meat; or store-bought treats. Ask your vet for more information.
Kitty Furniture
Fluffy isn’t shy about using our beds, couches, chairs, and, well, everything else we own. However, it’s important for your kitty to have a few things that were made just for her. Pick up a new bed for your drowsy pet. It’s fine if she already has one … or ten. It’s good to have choices! Cat towers are also a good option.
Catnip Bubbles
Your feline pal may be purrfectly delighted with catnip in its regular form, but there are some fun new options for her, such as catnip bubbles. This can also make for some great photos!
Remote-Controlled Mouse
It’s probably safe to say that Fluffy will never get tired of playing with classic kitty toys. However, you may want to try something new. Get your feline pal a modern toy, such as a remote-controlled mouse or automated laser pointer.
Catio
Do you have a screened porch, enclosed patio, or spare room? Make it more kitty friendly by adding a cat tower or window seat, zand some pet-safe plants. Voila! Instant purr!
Kitty Subscription Box
No matter what your hobby is, there’s likely a subscription box for you. There are even some for Fluffy!
Photo Sessions
Don’t forget to take some cute pictures of your furry pal. You can never have too many cat pictures.
Boxes
Who said that our feline overlords always have expensive taste? A box is a great way to brighten up Fluffy’s day!
