Things That Don’t Impress Cats

Do you sometimes find your kitty looking at you with a smug, slightly disdainful expression on her cute face? Cats certainly do have some high opinions about themselves. However, not everything impresses Fluffy. Read on as a local Burlington, ON vet lists a few things that our feline pals don’t care about.

Fido has many wonderful qualities, but he is definitely on a different wavelength than Fluffy is. In fact, our canine pals are a bit confusing to cats. After all, dogs willingly do what they’re told, refuse to use a litterbox, never groom themselves, and will eat pretty much anything.

Fluffy doesn’t care what’s in your bank account, and she isn’t purrticularly concerned with whether you’re wearing expensive clothes or not. She just wants to cuddle up with you, follow you around, and nap.

While our feline friends can form strong bonds with one another, this isn’t always the case. Cats tend to get a bit territorial about their humans and households. Your cute pet may morph into a hissing, screeching ball of kitty rage if she spots another cat in her domain.

Cats are very interesting little furballs. One of the most fascinating things about them is the fact that they are so flexible and athletic. Fluffy can land some very precise, tricky acrobatic maneuvers, and is a skilled climber. Then again, she also sometimes misses easy jumps, or rolls off the side of a bed or couch. Kitty physics are definitely fascinating!

Have you ever bought your finicky feline a pricey kitty bed or cat tower, only to have her ignore it and sleep in a shoebox? There’s just no accounting for taste!

The automobile is definitely one of modern man’s greatest achievements. However, our feline patients are not particularly excited about this world-changing invention. In fact, most kitties seem to think of cars as evil robot death traps.

Cats live by their own rules. (In fact, we suspect that these quirky furballs also adhere to a unique version of the laws of physics, but that’s another topic.) Fluffy has no qualms about grooming herself in a room full of people, or stealing your elderly aunt’s chair.
